If it suits your fancy

We all possess bias but the question is to what extent. Preconceived ideas are expected but then we need to dig deeper to look for evidence of their veracity which includes hearing all sides of an argument. At no other time on our history have we been able to find those who agree with us thanks to our access to online resources. It doesn't matter that they aren't truly subject matter experts; they need only echo our own sentiments.

People like Joe Rogan who aren't subject matter experts at anything, have massive podcast audiences. The everyman who says he's just asking questions weighs in on things like COVID vaccines but has no responsibility for the opinions he offers or whether people take his word as gospel. The issue of course is that critical thinking isn't generally a human forte which only invites people to become acolytes of the uninformed particularly if the message suits their fancy.
